Three killed in Chinese chemical plant fire

Three people were killed and four more injured in a blaze a chemical plant in northwest China, according to the state-backed Xinhua news agency.
The fire struck a plant operated by the Qingyang Petrochemical Company, owned by PetroChina, on 26 July. It is thought that oil leaked from the plant before igniting and killing the three workers, though firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within a few hours of the accident.
Xinhua says that the cause of the fire is not yet known, but that it is under investigation by authorities. (s:Richard Jansen-Parkes,tcetoday)
